He is the Congolese personality who most strongly symbolizes African revival. For many Africans, he represents the new providential politician, capable of raising the Katangans out of their poverty, in the manner of the biblical Moses, whences he draws inspiration. Moïse Katumbi is rich enough not to have to pillage his province, he regularly uses football and television to reinforce his popularity.
